It has been a while since I have been on FTE but I am looking for some input. I just drove from Phoenix to Vegas with my 2001 7.3l and looks like I got 14 to 15 MPG with a 50mph head wind. I ran 70mph the whole way up. I do have some upgrades on the truck I have a cold air intake, and larger exhaust them are the only upgrades to mess with mileage.

What I want to know though is if this is good or bad mpg's for this year of the 7.3l.? What would a tunner do for me? I am looking at the DP tunner they seem to have the best rap and seems as if they take care of there customers.

 

if you where driven in to a 50mph wind that is great mpg.

 

Well if that is the case when I head back next weekend then hopefully there is no wind or if so it is behind me pushing.
