Did a quick search and couldn't find info if anyone can help. My '99 F150 suddenly lost all interior heater/ac fan control settings except for Hi. Is it the switch or something else in the circuit? Thanks for any info.
Just an FYI update for anyone who may have this issue. The blower motor resistor was the problem. After finding voltage at the incoming wiring to the resistor, what else could it be.
Also, the resistor is not directly behind the glovebox on, at least, the '99 F150. Actually, you don't ever have to touch the glovebox at all to get to it. It's under the dash area next to the motor which is mounted at the bottom of the ductwork. It's partially hidden but if you get your head under the dash far enough, you can see it. Using an 8 mm socket, 3" extension, and ratchet, 2 screws and it's out. Hope this info saves someone some time. After I figured out it wasn't behind the glove box, the job went quickly. Part is a bit over $40.
