My "new" truck

As most of you know as I have written I totaled my "nite" a couple of wed.'s back. And when I say total I mean I was going down the road and the right brake caliper went out and she went hard into a bankment to the left side crumpling a the fender, hood, and grill. Of course as I have previously noteted Progressive wanted to total it and keep it...I said no way so I bought her back.
So.....Progressive paid me a few thousand dollars and by chance I was bringing the ole black truck home after get her brakes put on her four corners and alignment done, I seen this little jewel sitting in my neighbors yard. His grandson wanted $1800.00 for this 1996 XL F150 with a super straight body and a recently reworked 351w. So I stopped by told told him I would give him $900.00 for it and after seeing the receipts and seeing where he got a local mechanic to rebuild the motor that know and respect I give him $1100.00 for it. The motor only has about 750 miles on it but I wasnt planning on swapping it out like that. Like i said the mechanic is local with good reputation and he had rebuilt the motor and lined-bored the mains and giver it a good level machining and a put in a steel crank, So what a better opportunity than when I am going to take the font clip off this truck, build this motor to my satisfaction and get my ole girl back up and running. I participialy liked the truck because it wasnt a chromed out truck so it would be easier to paint it back hot - rod black. It is a win-win opportunity for me.
I have already placed a order with Dunnn-Rite and they are hooking me up with a new set of heads, cam, pistons, "Lightning blower" & intake, headers, computer and wiring harness and I should be able to turn around 650-hp on pump gas in this 351 in replace of my tired 302. and the I will put the 96 front clip on this 1991, sanded and spray it and it will be a monster...LOL
BTW...All I am keeping of this white truck is the front clip and the motor so if anyone wants any part...the rest of the truck is for sale!!
