I have a hunch that the 44's on '57 to '60 trucks were all limited slip. There could be a clue on the tag.
I don't know how common that option was, but both my Merc pickups have the 44 rear end.
Or do you want a real locker?

A limited slip would be fine. I just don't want to be like the old cars when they turn a corner on ice and one tire just spins like he's going 20 mph and the other one doesn't move at all. Thanks for the tip. Wouldn't the 57-60 trucks have 9" or are you talking about the 4x4's?
