I installed the seats out of my 65 Mustang into my 72 F-250 4x4. It was pretty simple. Take the brackets off the original bench seat and reinstall them into your pickup. Get some 1 1/4 square tubing and cut two pieces to fit across the cab and weld a tab onto the square tubing so you can bolt the tubing to the seat brackets. Take the Mustang seats, with brackets and bolt them to the square tubing. When you bolt the square tubing to the p/u seat brackets, be sure to space them so the Mustang brackets will bolt to them. By doing this, you can move each seat individually or move them both at once. You will have a space about 10 - 12 inches wide between the seats to pile 'stuff' in or make a console to fill the space.
I would love to see a GOOD picture of what the bucket seats looked like in these trucks. Moreover, I'd really LOVE to see what that center console looked like.
I think I am gonna follow the footsteps of Ibell and install a Dodge Ram seat with the flip down center console if I can't find a center console to go between the Mustang buckets.
