I'm installing a OEM trailer brake controller in my 2013 F250. I need to remove the coin holder in the dash that is right next to the upfitter switches. Could someone give me some direction on how to do this. Thanks in advance.
Pop out the piece that has the audio jack in it and there is a bolt inside that has to be removed. Also there is a piece across from it on the other side of the coin holder that has to be popped out. Inside another bolt to be removed. The dash can the be pulled out enough to get your hand up inside to release the coin holder clips.
If you pop out the Aux input on the right side of the dash, next to the coin holder/upfitter switches you can reach behind the upfitters/coin tray and pop it out. Once that is out you reach behind and get to the clips on the back. When I did my upfitter switches install, I just wrapped my screw driver in a rag to keep from damaging finished. The coin tray popped right out when I pried from the bottom. If you have any other questions, I can email you a PDF that covers the upfitter installation. It would be the same for the trailer breaks controller as far getting access to that area.
