Short box swap

New here I'm Tyler I have a 77 flair side 2wd . Me and a good friend are working on his truck 86 150 short box 2wd we are trying to find a box , he said I would be ok to put a box from 87 to 96 on it so what lengths were there for boxs anything we will need to swap any advise thanks

Short bed for short bed. Only difference is the recessed trim line above the fender wells on the 86 will be flared out on the 87+.

also the wheelwells on the 86 and older are squared off where the 87+ are rounded.

So there s a short box reg and long? Most ex cab s are reg or short boxes thanks
