Door lock remote not working

1994 F150 XLT with power windows and door locks. New truck to me, PO said remote just needed a battery. Put in the new battery, but no joy.

What should I look at to diagnose this issue?

when the remote for my '98 explorer (same remote as what you have i think) quit working a new battery helped for about a week and it quit again. you have to wiggle the button around to get it to work. i tried cleaning w/ LPS and that didn't help either.
