if saving 100 bucks is worth a 50/50 chance of a ****ty hub unit, than by all means go with aftermarket. If you want the best for your truck than timken is the best way to go. I am not saying you can't get lucky on an aftermarket, I am merely pointing out the best option.
I tend to base my decision on whether or not I mind doing the job again. That's why I bought a $8 COP from eBay, but spent $270 on a Motorcraft fuel pump. I haven't done a hub assembly yet, but I think I'd spring for the quality part.

You're saying what is best for you is what everybody needs and you need to learn to spell. I like aftermarket parts and have always had good luck with them.
