Found what's sure to be a great new style 3/8 ratchet, especially for those of us with modular motors during plug changing times. I'm NOT selling them, not affiliated in any way, just passing on a great idea--I hope!
According to Stanley Tools USA and UK it is not available in the 1/4" version as mentioned in one of the videos, quite a shame I think.
Anyway enjoy---great too for only $23. Bought mine from Amazon--HATE Walmart---but I'm sure they're available elsewhere too. Free shipping since I also bought the new Brad Paisley CD at the same time! Snap On will be jealous they didn't patent this design.
But i have one of these and it is GREAT! what i really like is that when you twist back and forth is rotates the ratchet no lost energy.
Oh yeah---its been a while since I found this tool and its not disappointed one bit. For the $30 or less price its something none of us would regret tossing in the tool box. Fact is its a nice feeling tool, seems to be quality made and finished.
I've seen a few that do things like that but they all struck me as really cheaply made and I prefer a swivel head so I haven't bought any yet. Might try that one if I come across a deal on one.
One of my favs for stuff like that however that I do have though is a ratchet with a squeeze mechanism like pliers. So if you can't rotate it squeezing works also, or even both. I got it used and have never seen another like it. I'll snap a pic if you all are curious.

Well this Stanley is not a cheap tool nor does it feel like one. I hate its made in China and while that typically denotes something cheap and shoddy this isn't. In fact I had opportunity to use one before buying and was very impressed, that alone convinced me to buy mine.
I'm a bit of tool snob and won't buy anything not quality made, preferably made in the USA although Germany produces a lot of VERY fine tools too.
Anyway this is a nice tool and well worth the money I spent!
Snapped a pic of that squeeze ratchet I was talking about.
Ratchets like normal swinging it, or if tight you can squeeze it. The ratchet only goes one direction so to change directions you push the 3/8 dohicky to the other side. Biggest down side is the ratchet mechanism is rather course, only 16 clicks per rotation and you can get 3 clicks per squeeze.
