My truck does the same thing. Sitting still in neutral, I can bring the RPMs up to 1100 and it shakes the whole truck. Like you said, not a rattle your teeth shake, but it shakes the whole truck. I just did Stage 2s, T500 and a chip. Had this problem before all that. Did those mods, it ran good for two days, then right back to the same crap.
Yeah, that's exactly how it is. But I know it's not normal because I can jump in my truck and there's nothing. You can see the engine rocking pretty good (relative to the body), so I'm thinking it might be a good idea to change the engine mounts. Certainly couldn't hurt.
Didn't have time to reread this thread, but could this be an IDM issue? It sure sounds like a bad injector (which we know for sure is not Bills problem). Bill, did you try a different IDM?

bap sensor causes what problem? I forget. tps signal steady at the offending rpm? just throwing things out there. I am really worried about figuring this out as now two have the same problem!
I'm thinking we need to change the engine mounts and maybe the tranny mount too. I crawled under it yesterday with the engine at 1100 rpms and you can see the engine vibrating a lot more than the frame. If you look at the tcase tail housing, it looks like a dog wagging its tail!
At this point, I'd say that I'm better than 90% confident that the issue is mechanical and not electrical.

Hey Bill, do you know how old your engine and tranny mounts are?
I still haven't checked the UVCHs yet, but like I said, I'm almost certain it's mechanical and not electrical. I think the one misfire we had test driving it was due to a combination of the new injectors (air in the HPO sys) and low fuel pressure. I took it for a longer test drive after getting the fuel pressure back up and didn't have any issues.
My engine and trans mounts are the original I suppose. I was convinced my problem was mechanical too, but I'm not so sure now. I think I'm making some headway on figuring this out. I don't want to jinx it though LOL! I'm going out to the shop now and work on it. Check those UVCH !
I could have missed it after reading through this, but I did not see you mentioned trying to unplug your chip? I'd give that a shot...even in the ol cummins and 7.3's I'd say 50% of the problems we see are chip issues. Give it a shot...
My brother's truck has always had a chip. Haven't unplugged it; just moved it to stock mode. Sounds like Bill's truck had the issue before the chip though.
