I just bought a 1995 F-150 XLT Reg' cab-short bed,and someone who owned it before me & the guy I bought it from removed the Transfer Case Skid Plate. And I'm wanting to buy another one,and we don't have any Junk Yards here.So that's not an option, and I've searched the net with no real luck.So does anyone here have any idea where I can get one,or even has one to sale?? Let me know...Thanks Everyone..

Also, the F-150 has no skid plate under the TC, it has a crossmember, if you want to add a crossmember get one from a Bronco.
I hate to say it my 95 F150 4x4 has a skid plate not a cross member. In fact when I decoded the VIN Ford says it came with a skid plate. But if you find one it would be a good idea to reenforce it. They aren't that strong. I plan to weld a piece of angle iron on the bottom to stiffen it up.
The only cross member is what the trans mounts to. The T/C is bolted to the rear of the transmission & sits wide open without a skid plate. I just R&R my case so it is real fresh in my mind.

The skid plate was part of the "Off Road" package. Alot of 4X4s came through without the Off Road package and therefore did not have a transfer case skid or the skid plate for the midship fuel tank( if they have one). If you want a truly useful skid plate, you need to build it yourself out of heavy duty metal. The stock one is not really heavy enough nor does it adequately protect the transfer case because it is not big enough.
I actually found a post from a Year or so back on another Site and the guy said he found NOS Skid Plates.I tried to get in touch with him but haven't heard back,I've looked at LMC Trucks to see if they have it,but couldn't find it.And I don't have any way to make one myself. If someone could find one in good condition from a Junkyard,I'll pay you a little for your time, and of course for the part & shipping.
