Delete is cheaper than that and no more worries about EGR

That was probably me that had the $2000 quote. After the dealer turned the light off it stayed off for a couple of days and then came one again. It did turn off again after a few cold soaks. My plan is to take the cooler and egr valve out and clean it. I think this should do the trick. I just have a hard time believing that it could be plugged. Maybe a dirty valve that does not work properly all the time. I will keep you guys updated.

does anyone know where i can still get a EGR/DPF delete tuner?? I think this is going to be a must if i plan on keeping this truck.

just want to give you guys an update.. i got a call from the dealership a couple minutes ago and they said that the EGR cooler is fixed. BUT they have to rebuild my transmission.. out of all the cars that i have owned i havent seen a bigger POS. This truck is a joke

How did they get to the rebuild transmision part?
Were you having issues?

Yeah it was shifting weird. There was a long lag between 2 and 3. They said they had to replace 5 selinoids and it was no big deal. Also they flashed the trans comp with the new update that just came out in the service bulitin. Finally got the truck back tonight after a week in the shop.

That is not 'rebuilding the transmission'. Probably had one, maybe two bad solenoids and they replaced them all.

I had three solenoids replaced in mine awhile back.
Routine fix.
Still not the best transmission on earth but it fixed a lot of issues and removed all of my safety concerns.

Simple cure. Unload the as you Joke of pos truck. Problem resolved.

I experienced this same story today. I don't idle the truck and use PM22 in every tank. Good quality fuel, never any water in fuel.

Glad I am still in 3/36 with my 2011. No anger here, should be fixed on Wednesday. Driving around a new Ford Fusion. Nice to have a great dealer.

So what happens when the EGR cooler fails exactly? Do you get coolant coming out the exhaust like on the 6.0Ls? My six-oh had that symptom.

The EGR cooler is long gone from my 6.7L so I'll probably never find out, but I am still curious.
