Air ride question

Hi all, I am looking for a little feedback on an air ride system. I want to add a set of bags to my truck. First, are there any brands to avoid? I have looked at ride rite and air lift and both seem comparable. Next, while looking at the air lift brand, there is a 2000lb system and up to 5000lb system for the 150. I think the ride rite is just a 5000lb system. With that said, I mainly tow around 8000 with my one trailer and right around 10500 with my other. My trips are mainly local, 20-30 miles at a time. My other question would be: would the 2000lb system be sufficient or should I opt for the 5000. Thanks for reading.

Just realized I never set up a signature, which now has my truck stats included.

I've got the Ride Rite 5000lb set-up with the heavy duty Air Command control with the on board compressor. My toy hauler weighs in between 7500-10000 lbs depending on how many bikes are in it. I get a rock solid ride with bags at 50 psi. No porpoising at all. Plus I was able to rig an aux air line and with a quick connect hose I can air up my or anybody else's tires with the on board compressor. Great after a day on the beach.

Thanks for the info. My first question is: who did you purchase your equipment from? From what I have seen, only a 2000lb air bag setup is available for the 150. I would like to go with the 5000lb setup for what I would think would be a little bit more durability and beefier hardware. Next question: how is your ride quality when unload and aired down? Again thanks.

I got mine from AutoAnything. The part number is W217602525 for the bags. Hardware is definitely beefy. Can't find the part number for the control system, but the name is Level Command 1 - Heavy Duty. You never completely air the bags all the way down. You need to leave a minimum of 5psi. Ride wise you never even know the bags are there when they're aired down.

Cool. Thanks for the part number. I think they update to a command level II system. Going to check it out later tonight.

They have about half a dozen different control systems available. All have slightly different features.
