I've been playing with my new AE w/ Ford Bundle and today one of the values I've been recording is CMP / CKP sync, amongst others.
It bounces back and forth between 0 and 1, which I assumes means "in-sync" and "not-in-sync".
I don't have any starting or driveability issues that I've noticed or recognized. What does this measurement mean? Should I be looking at it in conjunction with other values? My FICM sync never moved off 1 FWIW.
colm what you are seeing is real time data stream. it will swich to 0 after the pick up passes the magnet. normal operation
you also only need sync to start, it will run even if you lose cmp, how ever you need ckp 100% of the time
