2002 E350 Maintenance?

I've moved your post out of the thread regarding the IP illumination and into it's own thread in the Van forum. This is a much better way of getting your questions answered.
One of our great van folks will be along shortly to help you out.

Click maintenance schedules, fill in year and vehicle info, ask for full schedule, and it should show up for you.
I think you can also download full owner's manuals here.
At 100k, the only official maintenance items are coolant change (won't make *that* much difference to run it for a trip, but if it's funky, it would be good to change it), spark plugs (if yours have not been changed, why not do it before the trip to maximize gas mileage).
I would certainly make sure you have clean filters, good brakes, etc. If your wheels have not been balanced for a while, good time to do that as well--an imbalanced tire can sure be an annoyance on a trip, and cupping wear is something you don't want.
Are your front end suspension parts tight? Now we're getting into heavier repair stuff, but at 100k ball joints and tie rod ends can be getting a bit loose.
Good luck,
George
Do keep in mind plugs, they do need to be changed at 50K miles regardless what any manual suggests. Along with proper torque, correct brand (it DOES make a difference here!), boots----things that need checking periodically
There are two FTE forums dealing with the modular motors in our '97 and later vans, good idea to check them too. Most engine issues aren't specific to the vehicle so there's a lot of great info and tips there.
Ball joints on the E350's are reputed to be quite an issue, most not lasting past 90K miles for some odd reason, most likely the load most have seen; lack of grease fittings doesn't help either.
Tire pressure too----least we forget that.
FWIW I'm driving a '00 E250 with about 272K miles I've maintained since '08 and its been pretty much trouble free. Currently driving an '03, just over 172K miles and it too will be maintained without regard to budget since its my main source of income.
Great trucks, good engines and transmissions assuming they're maintained as outlined.
Good luck on your Nashville > NYC > Nashville jaunt!
I have gotten some great help from this forum, and especially in this tragic week, believe that the best response is for all of us to do positive things in this world.

Here, here to us all Yo George and PS72
Indeed some places are true respites from the madness and chaos swirling around us from time to time, FTE being one of them for certain !
Its personally satisfying helping others when we have a "been there, done that" moment or two to share!
