Rebuilt the 1977 C4 for my son's truck. Pressed in a new oil pump bearing as part of the rebuild; pretty standard stuff.
Get it all installed and go for a drive. Works fine except I detect the 'red line of shame' on the highway (subdivision road) behind me. I am pouring oil out the front seal (which I had replaced).
Pull it out (again). Here's the weird part. Looking at it I see that the new pump bearing I pressed in has blown out. The dang thing is spinning loose.
(^ not the actual part, just reminding you of what it looks like^)
I pressed it in. How the *&^(% did this thing pop back out in about 2 miles???
