I had a F700 Cab over when I was farming and we kept a stubby screw driver on the dash to start and stop the motor. The tractor did have a push button starter (farmer installed option). Pretty sure we never took the key out of the old Slick flareside farm truck. Simpler times.

21 to 48 , test weight 51 to 61 . Had about 1/2 in early and 1/2 in later varieties . The late freeze did a number on the early varieties , flag leaf was out when the freeze hit. It was hard to thrash and clean .
O well next year will be different. You know there are 2 good years in farming next year and one 20 years ago. LOL
How is the harvest up your way? Wishing You a Safe and bountiful harvest.

I have learned that the conversion is a Howe Coleman 4x4 . They are no longer in business . The front axle is over built and stout . I am going to replace it with some thing I can get parts for.
The transfer case is a NP 200 .
If all goes as planed I'll be headed to Red River parts & Eq to pick up a set of 2 1/2 ton Rockwell top loader axles to replace what is under the truck .
Also have a 3/4 ton pickup spotted for a cab , just need to contact the owner to see if he will sell it.
Macs , you know why no one steals a Farmers truck . 1 it wont go over 40 mph with out something falling off. 2 the seat is covered with feed sacks . When you set in it you sink into a hole in the seat . 3 At speeds over 40 mph the road dust blows up through the holes in the floorboard .Making it hard to see and breath. The burning oil smoke coming off the exhaust is blinding also. 4 There is usually a dog sitting in the passenger side and it is not friendly.

^All except for the Chevy part booo
Be sure to take pics and post them during the axle swap I love the way the truck looks big and beautiful haha I just found 2 bump side large series trucks one was a tow truck the other is missing the bed and is in rough shape. If only I could afford them I'd bring them home with me but I already got enough projects to last a lifetime.
