I figured you guys run across this more than the Expedition forum. I'm picking up a new Expedition tomorrow. First change will be tires that are .9" taller than stock, just shy of an inch. Any reflash changes with this minimal change?
It sounds like you're going from a 275/55/20 to a 275/60/20. In my case on my 2006 F150...with the 275/60/20 my speedometer is dead on through 80mph, whereas with the 275/55/20 stock rubber the speedo read 2-3mph higher than my actual speed from 70-80mph.
You shouldn't notice any real changes besides a very slight drop in fuel economy with the larger tire.

EXACTLY... the expedition will have 18's, I'm looking for a set of 20" 2009 F150 Platinum wheels that I'll have chromed, and put on the 275/60/20 Michelins. Have you been happy with your 60s? The Michelin spec table shows that they are virtually the same tread and section width, but .9" taller. Should be a slightly more comfirtable ride and fill up the wheelwells a bit. thanks
I love my setup. Truck came with OEM 20s, so I slapped on Michelin LTX M/S2s in 275/60/20 and I'm very happy. They are great in the wet and snow, and they roll forever. I have about 29k miles on mine now and they still have another 30-40k to go. They are not aggressive by any means, but they work for those times I'm on fire trails, etc at hunt camp. I'm pleased with them...even though they are not cheap.
