Sorry, I was looking at the forum through the garage Talk app. Is your zelda project using a modular ford block? I have a 73 LWD RWD 347 stroker.
Zelda is an FE stroker that measures 447 CID. I haven't fired it up yet as I'm still working on the exhaust system and brakes. Here's an image from one of my build pages:
For details on the engine build, start reading here.
I just skimmed your wrecked build and I am very impressed. Are you a mechanic or metal fabricator by trade ?
Actually I am a retired university professor who has been developing automotive skills for more than 50 years while pursuing drag racing and street rodding hobbies. Since almost everything I've learned about mechanics and metal work was self-taught, these hobbies actually helped me in that part of my academic work which is centered on learning psychology. It helped me bridge learning theory and practice.

Do you need an extra pair of hands with anything? I would love to learn from you.

In my build thread, I try to end each post with a look ahead to what's next. If one of those sounds interesting, just PM me and we'll work something out.
Right now I'm recovering from a virus I picked up in central Europe and the damage Irma did to my property. I can hardly wait to get back to Zelda but first things first.
I had a lot of time to review my build and think while I was overseas (almost two months). The PMGR starter doesn't have enough header clearance so I'll be trying to grind some more off the block to tuck the starter closer in to get more clearance. I'm also not happy with the way I did the mufflers and will likely re-do that as well.
So it's not all forward progress.
I was a weapons systems guy that was able to work my way out of fixing things (F4, F-15 [incl the SE]), F16, FB111, F118, A10, B1, B2 and all three B52s (D, G and H) and in to weapons R&D as an engineering tech! Loved that job!
Hello guys! I Have had 3 '70 Ford trucks, currently just the one '79 that I love to parade around the area of Habersham and Rabun counties. The closest town to me is Talullah Falls. I am a truck driver and mechanic by trade but have been away from working as a mechanic for a long time now and currently unemployed by choice to work on my house.
