Dot3 Dot4 ...
Just to make shure:

Is it any reason not to use DOT4 breaking fluid instead of DOT3 (which is specified)?

Dot3 Dot4 ...
Most vehicles are made to use dot-3. the only difference, is dot-4 is made to withstand higher temperatures!! I reccomend sticking with what your manual says. You don't want your brakes to fail!!!

Dot3 Dot4 ...
dot 4 is more for motorcycle use. DOT 3 is what is recommeneded for passenger car and light truck use.
