Alrighty guys well without knowing i took my turbo all down and didn't know i needed to mark my references on the comp wheel and housing and nut and all.
SO.
That being said the place around here i'm ordering my rebuild kit from says that i should have it balanced.
Of course any turbo place will say that because they sell it. It's only 75 bucks but anywhere i can save money i'd like to.
But i also do not want to hurt or endanger my turbo. SO, that being said, who has had their turbo rebalanced after messing up like me, who recommends it and why
Givin the RPMs of a turbo would one even chance it. Vibration at that speed is asking for failure. Not sure what compressor debree looks like going through an engine before taking out the turbine wheel but I know it happens. Just my 2 cents. I bought mine rebuilt off of eBay and still paid to have it balanced.
If you lived only like an hour and a half away i would brother hah.
Okay then i'll continue as planned and have her balanced.
I had actually called a Garret distributor in South carolina and he said he didn't know much about what iw as talking about but asked where i was near and referred me to someone up closer to me, when i got off the phone 5 minutes later a wierd number was calling me and it was the turbo. They really took care of me so i'll have them balance it and they can provide me a rebuild kit as well.
Awesome stuff
