Considering that Cody has stated before that he leaves his rotary **** and associated cable draped across the steering column, I can totally understand this. I can reach down behind my parking brake and pull the chip in less than 10 seconds easy. Of course, my switcher is hard-mounted so that would take a bit more time.

That's about the extent of it, but I don't even HAVE a switch anymore. One tune and that's it.
It's no exaggeration, but the 95-97 trucks take a minute or two at the most.

So it's not necessary to unplug the PCM harness before pulling the chip? (I don't even look at it when the key is in, in fear of frying the PCM)
I saw a reference on PHP's site about being able to dim the display. Do any of you know how to do that? As it is, small planes give me a wide berth at night.
The gf surprised me with the fact that she got me the hydra for my birthday...it will be here on monday
Cody what would the hex code be for 97 auto?
Also bill said on a diffrent forum that the reason for the bottom mounted flat ribbon style wire is so that it can be mounted with out putting a hole in the dash... ribbon routed thru the crack between dash and bezel

If it's not a California emissions model, it would be VCAB0_02 (TDE1)

That's the reason I would give as well. I LOATHE drilling holes in dashes or anywhere else in view.
I don't know. I don't have anything to do with the Hydra. Sorry I can't help.
I think it has something to do with holding the (-) button and then pressing the (+) button and then tapping the (-) button quickly....but that's just a guess.
