Looking great! You're doing a pro job, with custom clean-room and everything. How much gloss does the viking blue have? How are you going to paint the tailgate Ford letters and bars? Masking tape like me?
You can get rubber trim material that sits between the back fender and fender wall. I don't think it's very expensive and it's a nice custom look. Probably anti-squeek as well? A 4X4 might want to have some mud flaps in back?
I'll be starting my bed refinishing this May. I happened to get lucky 4 years ago and got the next best thing to a NOS tailgate. I got one removed for a camper and stored all those years off ebay. It was up for a total of 10 minutes only. When you look at how Ford painted the letters you can see that they didn't tape them off and spray. The letters are not a uniform solid white at all but instead show texture. In fact, they look rolled onto them since they are raised reliefs. Talked with a 40 year sign painted who had done lettering on much older Ford trucks and I am going to use what he used to duplicate the look. iMcClains.com - McClain's Printmaking Supplies - Brayers
Mike is right about the letters; they weren't painted on in the traditional sense but "dabbed" on with a foam pad or similar. The paint will come off with a vigorous cut-polish, I discovered recently.

At the Twin Cities Ford plant, they used a solid rubber paint roller. Paint was spread out with the roller and then rolled over the raised letters. Obviously, they didn't allow just anyone to paint the letters - it was a special talent!
D your right I have to slow down some and use my brain to keep from scratching the good work my painter and I have done
Just really happy to be mostly done with sanding bondo and primer
Body work is very tedious I did all my metal repair and then did what I thought was a decent job, and then they spent another 400 hours straight boarding everything and making her smooth, I definitely don't miss that part.
Beautiful and educational. Love the color and the paint booth.
So.... while you are set up..... how much cash to do this for someone else?
Booth was taken down yesterday not enough money in anybody hands to get me to paint again for some time
This booth is a different one than the one used for the cab
The roof I bought off eBay 10'x20' 6posts 6' at low point 10' at ridge
Cost me a $100 then used painters plastic 9' x60' roll
With a old fan at each end and lots of tape
It was in side my shop so the wind didn't mess it up
