Guys,
Is it normal for the rear hatch when you lift the handle and unlatch it not to pop outward a little? You have to pull the hatch open with a great deal of force to get is moving upward?
It's the weight of the door I am feeling not sticking seals from weather sitting ect.
The struts hold the hatch up fine and don't seem weak at all.
I was even thinking of adding compression springs in the jambs.
yeah all 3 of my excursions have been a bit of a pain to get the window open. thats with new 2wd shocks on my newest one. i'd say its normal.
Yeah that back hatch is heavy.... I popped off both shocks and wow..... was lucky it didnt knock me out.... I used WD-40 on mine..... it seems to work fine.
Thanks guys. After your coments of it being the way it is, I decided to try some things. Found that one of the strickers was draging from missalignment from the factory. Tweaked it and it helped a lot. I think I will still try some springs behind it to pop it out.
Thanks again,
John
