Hi, if it's the cd/cass radio, like mine, then the problem is the display power supply board in the radio. It has poor solder joints and causes the problem. There are many offers to fix it on ebay. Don't go to the dealer, rip off. You could always take the radio apart and remove the board (small and removable beside the cd head unit top drivers side of radio). Try resoldering all the joints and put it back in. Mine works about 85% of the time now. I didn't want to spend the money to fix it. ebay fixes cost 60 to 100US.
Im searching here..and only on page 14 so far..

I just acquired a stock AM/FMstereo/cassette from a fellow Ranger to replace my '88 stock one. This 'new' one, we believe is from an early '90 F-Series. It is DIN mounted..so I had to modify my 4 screw mount to accomodate. The stereo/cass works great and I now have LCD displaying the station. Does anyone know if the stereo readout displays the TIME as well? I cant figure out how to set the clock...if there is one.
Thanks for any feedback.
