What is this?

Hello,

I found this installed under the dashboard, but don't have a clue of what it is. Any ideas? It's the black thing with "legacy" on it.

Looks like a slight variation of what i had in my truck, when the previous owner had hooked a sub/amp up to the stock head unit.
