Another Old Ford in Az!
It's far from being my first Ford truck; my last one sold about a year ago was a '97 F250 diesel that I had for ten years and ran heavily on jobs and trips. It never failed me and looked like new when I sold it.
I'd thought after retirement I could get along without a truck but that's impossible as you all know, and since we're shortly going to give our daughter the little Corolla leaving me stuck, I had to do it.
I barely have had time to crawl over it, sounds and drives good, tires and belts all fine, but I can see that soon I'll be getting into plugs/wires and likely a K&N filter to try to improve the gas mileage. It's not a run-around vehicle of course, but we're way out in the desert near the border and any trip for any reason isn't a short run.
This seems like a great forum where I can learn some much needed tips; I'm no mechanic by a long shot but keep my '04 Bonneville motorcycle running so new skills coming I'm sure.
Thanks guys - Glad to be here.....Glad to be anywhere at my age!
