just rebuilt and installed my 351 Windsor.I had the firing order correct and number one cylinder at 10 degrees BTDC and the roter turned and pointing at #1. I'm getting fuel and spark but for some reason the engine will not fire. Does anyone have any ideas? F.O. 13726548
Pretty much all you need to run these motors is fuel, air, and spark. One is missing if you cannot get it to start. Try having the distributor bolt loose so you can turn it and crank the motor while rotating the dizzy left and right. If you cannot crank the engine from your engine bay, have someone else turn the key in the cab. Make sure the dizzy is seated properly and make sure you don't have the rotor 180* out. Ummm, You know for sure that the sparky plugs have spark and the fuel is getting to the carb?
your sure you set the dizzy with the #1 at TDC on the compression stroke. i know it sounds stupid to ask but i've done it myself after i was sure i set it right.
