I have a 2003 F350, it has been in the shop three times over the past 2 months. The have replaced the MAP, MAF sensors. Reprogarmed the comperter and replaced the Icp 3 times. It still has the same problem. On the highway at 55 to 70 MPH it runs good on flat ground, when i come to any sort of slope the truck smokes very badly and it hesitates . Like the waste gate is dumping the boost. Everytime it "Cluncks" a large puff of black smoke bellows out. The paint behind the tail pipe is jet black. Anyone out there have any ideas for a fix?????
Mine has been to ford 2x. They reprogrammed it both times. One for the recall and the second because a had too much black smoke coming out. It is fixed now. The second reprogram was some sort of "FLASH" update Ford said.
Get on the phone to Ford Customer Assistance, e-mail and call all the execs on Blueovalnews' contact list, talk to your service tech and manager (not just the service writer), and do this daily. Fixes are out there.
