300 Stroker question
I know the 300 is a stroked 240 and can never be bored so this must mean the head uses sleeves if I am correct. Now where can I buy sleeves or do I just have to have them machined up like we do for pulling tractors? I am really just wondering because I would like to get a 300 on a stand and start building it and would like to start with new sleeves pistons rings Ill keep the same rods but just trying to get an idea of where to get the parts if its even possible.

I'm pretty sure that the 300 does not use sleeves, you can have sleeves installed though. A quick google search says that you can usually bore a 300 Ford up to .060 over. Sleeves seem unnecessary, if the block is that bad you could get a used one for much less than any machine work would run you.
