EX Starts Missing when put into Reverse ...HELP!!!
Hey guys been a long time since Ive been on here. The last time I was here I had Crusie Control problems and everyone was able to help me fix it..Thanks!
I have noticed here lately that when I put my 2001 Excursion 5.4 Gas V10 Automatic in reverse it misses and sounds Horrible and now I notice it doing it in Drive sometimes... It doesnt happen all the time but about 75% of the time . All other trans behaviour is totally normal. Nice smooth shifts on a slow accel and on a WOT,runs great in town at stop lights & on the highway ...I changed the Fluid and that didnt help called a transmission shop they said it could be the rear pump in the tranny going out?... Just wondering if anyone has a idea what this could be.... No codes no weird pressure spikes or lows. Just a stutter or miss when shift from park to drive or park to reverse.... The fluid on the stick looks and smells norman Good Color.Any Other ideas would be awesome....After reading some more is it a transmission problem or a engine problem?...Im hoping some of the Pros will jump in here and help me out
