I have a 71'F100 4x4 and I want to clear 39.5" boggers.Has anyone ever done this?if so how? Can anyone tell me where i can get rear leaf springs say in the 8" or so so I can eliminte the factory blocks..or can I use 6" springs with a shackle flipand fender trim???Any input is appreciated.
my neighboor has a 71 f-100 with 6 in ch front springs from jc whitney, superlift drop brackets and rear springs that i think are from national spring. They might be re-arched springs from some other truck, but I think they are factory.
He has no body lift and TSL 38.5/14.5/15 tires. The locator bar that runs from just in front of the steering box needs to be lengthened slightly. He does not have a dropped pitman arm, but I think it would be a good idea.
The tires are brand new, and don't rub, but they are very close. He is going to put on a 2 inch body lift so he doesn't have to cut his fenders.
39.5's would work with the 6 susp, and a 3 inch body, it just might take a little trimming. Or a lot without the body lift. You can cut a lot out with that body style if you have to.
good luck finding those springs
