60's?!
I remember those... supposed to be 90-91 here today.
putting carb back together and just found one of the reasons for the leaks.
Main bowl housing is no longer flat, probably from being over tightened in the past.
It was also missing the pump check ball and weight.
OK carb is back together and re-installed.
Man that made one hell of a difference.
Still getting a slight stumble but I think that's from the air/fuel mixture screw.
60's? we have been in the 80's for most the week, and it is going to be in the 90's this weekend. We skipped spring and landed in summer.
No plans for the weekend, got to save my money for the Bronco's registration.
Greg, just put a Holley 390 cfm 4bbl n an Edelbrck dp intake, that will cure what ails it. Of course you will need one of the plenum heaters made by a fellow FTE (he posts in the 300 six forum) F250restorer if I remember correctly. Then a set of headers, and you are all set.
I learned that the tank in the bed of my truck is a 30 gallon side tank.
It is from either a parcel truck, bus, or RV around the 66-74 year range.
I am wondering if the city agency that had it for land and water department put it in.
At least it is progress.
I just wanted to share some of the pictures from the National Wild Horse & Burro Rally! Yesterday was Nevada's Wild Horse Rally in front of the State Legislature Building in Carson City. There were about 60 of us there to get the word out about how they are being mistreated - especially during roundups, the
overcrowding in State holding pens, horse slaughter & the SAFE Act (S.541/H.R.1094), & getting petitions signed to save our Wild Horses!
All in all, it was a good day & it was great to be out there (using my soccer mom voice ) to help such a great cause.
Glad to see you supporting where and when you can for these worthy causes.
Hows the 4 Runner doing?
Well, here we are at the brink of another week.
Are we going to let it beat us down?
Are we going to cower and let it control our lives?
Are we going to plod through just hoping things work out?
Are we going just hope things work out for the best?
Or, are we going to fight for things we believe in that will make our week go the way we want it too?
