I hope you enjoyed your Saturday & may you have a Blessed Sunday!
Yesterday was a VERY long day (& still is). Cammy & I went into Reno to make signs for the Maca March to stop child abuse. We got there about 5:30 & left around 10pm with a bunch of supplies & unfinished posters to finish at home. Well, we didn't make it home until almost 6am! Cammys car overheated & we had to sit in a parking lot until it cooled down enough to drive to a walmart for extra oil & antifreeze. I checked all the fluids & everything was fine... Hmm.??? So, we finally took off about 45 minutes later & made it about 5 miles to a Shop - n- Go mini mart when it overheated AGAIN! By this time it was almost 11:30pm. I called Jimmy to let him know we were broken down, but were OK, then I called Garret, my mechanic. He's such a life saver!!! He came all the way to Reno & fixed Cammys car temporarily & followed us back so we could make it home. The water pump is starting to go out & I guess some tensioner thingy is wobbly & needs to be replaced but that was only part of the problem. He had to tear into the engine to remove the bad thermostat , which ofcourse was in a really tight spot & the nut mustv'e been rusted or super tight, because we almost had to call for a tow truck had he not been able to break it free. Anyway, by the time everything was done, we left Reno around 4:30am & finally made it home by 6am.
Needless to say I crashed hard as soon as my body hit the bed. LOL! That lasted about 2 hours thanks to our freakin cat, Whiskey!
Meow, Meow, Meow & scratching at the bedroom door telling me it was time for me to get up & finish the signs & posters I'm so tired I can barely see straight!!! Oh well, atleast the signs are almost done & I'll sleep good tonight.
Hope your Saturday was better than mine.
BTW, if anyone would like to come join the Maca March against child abuse, it's tomorrow from 7am - 5pm in front of the NV.State Legislature building on S. Carson St in Carson City. Please come join us & show your support. Hope to see you there! (please wear a blue shirt...thanks)
Wow, sounds like a terrible night there Donna. Glad you and Cammy made it home okay. That is a wonderful mechanic, not many would do what he did. Love those pics you added at the end.
Just a quick in & out today. I've gotta get over to the MACA March - against child abuse to help set up. I'm keeping the kids out of school today to help out & walk with us. (since they have a make-up day for CRT's).
Please come join us if you can on 5th St & S. Carson st. (near the old Ormsby House Casino) in front of the State Legislature Building. We'll be there from 8 - 5. Come show your support & let's put a stop to child abuse!
Morning FTE. I hope everyone's Monday goes better than they expect.
I get to go help a friend shampoo her carpets for her mother's impending arrival.
Loaned her my kirby with the shampooing attachment but she can't get it figured out.
At least it will get me out of the house for a while.
Happy Monday Nevada FTE and friends. Hope everyone has a great day.
Donna, if you are going to be in the sun from 8am until 5 pm I suggest you take plenty of sunscreen!
Greg, when you are done with hers, you can come over here and do mine...oh wait...I don't have carpet, but I do have a large rug in the living room you can clean.
