I have a 1996 F53 motorhome. I recently determined that the servo is faulty and needs to be replaced. My part number stamped on the servo is
F4TF 9C735 AB The dealer wants $510 for this part. Too much for me! There are servos on Ebay for under $100 but the first part of the part numbers or the last parts are different. The middle of these part numbers are still 9C735 so I am wondering if these will interchange? I suspect they might because as part of my troubleshooting process I installed a servo out of my friend's 2000 F-150 and it worked. Unfortunately he wont let me keep it.
thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.
I have changed mine before as well. The part came from a local JY. It was off of a 96 Lincoln Town car. You can also find the same one on Crown Vics, Grand Marquis, Econoline vans, Ranger pickups and Explorers. The box is the same, only the cable is different and they are interchangeable. I paid $15 and it came with a 30 day warranty.
