Does anyone know if you can remove those chrome bolts on the the Bully BBS-1221CK locking fuel door? I want to paint the bolts black, are they real or fake bolts?
Thanks
The allen key screws unscrew on mine. It is fastened by a nut behind it. You will need to hold the nut with a wrench while you tighten. 2 of them on the right side I believe are longer that screws into the rubber bump stop holes.
Once you make this modification, there is no going back to the original fuel door.
Here is a pic of one of the screws that is only there for looks. I loosened it to show. Didn't want to fully remove it as it would be a PITA to try to put that nut back on. If you want to paint it, do it prior to installing. The black round thing on the left is the fuel cap.
