Excursion Seat Interchange

I have a set of 2005 Excursion Seats (front captains, 2nd row, 3rd row) that I want to drop into my 2001 Excursion. The seats will upgrade my interior.

Are these seats interchangable? I assume that I can just unbolt and remove my 2001 seats and drop in the 2005 - I'm hoping it's that easy.

Any help out there?

Thanks,

FrankeeD

The front seats are a direct bolt in.

Are the 2nd row seats you're installing captains seats or bench?

In the Excursion tech folder there are threads detailing installing captain seats in the second row.

One of the threads, by RMBC Freeride, has a couple pictures that might help you out.

Excursion Seat Interchange

Stewart H,

Many thanks for your prompt reply!!!!

The 2005 seats that I am putting in my 2001 EX are the same type of seats already in the '01. So, I "plan" to drop in Front Captains to Front Captains, 2nd row bench to 2nd row bench and 3rd row to 3rd row.

I appreciate the link to the Tech Folder and RMBC Freeride's posts. It's always helpful to see pictures before you start taking things apart and to read the experience of others who have gone down similar paths.

It appears as if I can drop in the 2005 seats without any modifications to bolt holes etc.

I'm going to do this work when the weather warms up in NE Ohio. I'll take some pics along the way and if helpful, post them here to help any others considering similar mods.

Thanks a bunch,

FrankeeD
