Slave Cylinder
guys i have a question
how do you tell if a slave cylinder is good or bad?
my dad got a M5r2 transmission for xmas, there is a slave clyinder on it,he wants to know if its good but we dont know how to check it if its good or not?
is there a way to check it?

You won't know till you hook it up and put pressure on the seals. If it's the one that goes up inbetween the engine and the tranny and you have to pull the tranny to change it, I would get a new one, even if it turns out to be good.
If it's the type that mounts externally, then you can take a chance, since it's easier to change out later.
