New guy with a 6.2

Hey all. I just picked up a 2012 F250 XLT SC SB. 3.73 . It has 7k on it right now. I traded my 07 Mazda 3 for it. It's a very comphy ride I'm a little worried on the gas but that's the price for power. It should be good for work. It's the first 4wd vehicle I've ever owned.

Big difference between a F250 and a Mazda 3, gas mileage may suffer a little . Good luck with the truck, a lot of people are going with the 6.2 gasser, good choice .

The 6.2 is actually a quieter motor than the. 2.3 that was in the 3. Gas mileage is about 1/2
. love the thing so far. I gotta get her cleaned up for some photos.

You'll love the truck. Mileage will improve over time. I've went from single digits empty, to double digits towing small loads...

My last tank of mixed driving I got 12mpg. So well see. Only issue I have is the truck kind of bounces around 55 to 63 mph. It settles out when I hit 70. Other then that the ride is great.

I bet parking is a bit different now. No more zipping around parking lots and in and out of parking spots. LOL!
Congrats!!

I've already been asked to get some pave stone. Still been zipping, still can't park for crap. I'll get there eventually, still love the truck not the gas mileage as much but got 14 on the last highway trip. She certainly made my day better going WOT with the windows down.

You may find it's easier to back in to a parking space than nose in. Especially in the lots with small spaces and narrow rows.

If you do get stuck pulling head first into a spot, line up by pulling up to the spot past the one you're wanting to get into (if there's a car there, don't hit it but pull up behind it), then reverse and whip the wheel the other way, you should be close to be being lined up to pull straight in... The backup cam and reverse sensors makes this a breeze. I remember doing this in my lifted 2000, it was not easy at all...

No back up can but I have found it easier to back it in. Gotta practice more though. I have been thinking of a tuner to perk it up a bit. And if it helps with gas mileage that would be great.
