[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Sep-02 AT 05:25 AM (EST)]K, The Law, read your follow-up below:

"Alrighty folks, just saw a follow-up on the 11 o'clock news. The driver was a 25 year old girl, in a Lincoln Navigator. State Patrol estimates her speed to have been in excess of 73 mph (the speed limit is 60), and she was indeed yapping on her cell phone.
This may sound bad, but I say it out of compassion, thankfully the father passed on a few weeks ago after lying in a coma for 2 weeks. Thank God he won't have to live a maimed and scarred life haunted by the events of August 12th, 2002. He's with his family now, where he should be.

With this information, the state is now "considering" charges. I say lock her up. I don't know how long she'd even be in for though, seeing as how in Snohomish a man got a 3 month sentence for driving into the oncoming lane just to get next to and yell at another driver out of road rage, and in the process killed an 18 year old girl on here way home from the prom. I guess in WA murder on the roads is almost a permissable offense."

IMHO, I say the kid was an irresponsible 25 yo who was speeding while BS'ing on her phone, unconcerned & inattentative of her LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES while handling a DEADLY WEAPON, ie., Vehicle.

The Plain & Simple FACT is that "SHE" is solely responsible for the DEATHS of 4 (FOUR) Innocent Victims. The gas tank would NOT have had Reason to explode had she not hit the vehicle.

I say that she is GUILTY of 4 Counts of Vehicular Manslaughter.

As much as I dearly LOVE my daughter (who is NOT this irresponsible), if she were in this position, I would offer her the help of a good attorney.
