Hey fellas! Just picked up a 1994 F150 4x4 with a 351. It runs pretty well, however, when the truck is at idle, and I gas it, it will stumble a little bit before climbing revs. Also sometimes right after i start the truck, it will idle a little rough but if I blip the throttle, it smooths out. Other than that, the truck runs great. New spark plugs, cap and rotor are in pretty good shape. other than that i havent had much time to mess with it. It has 196,XXX miles if that helps any. Any and all help appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the reply! im going to check that tomorrow as long as i have the time. However, i dont believe that is the problem. The thing runs like a scolded ape other than the problems mentioned. Thats a beautiful 93 you've got there BTW.

Thanks. When you check your timing be sure to remove the SPOUT.
And yes, there can be codes without a light so it's always good to check just in case.
I have the same issue with my 93 F-150 5.0. Timing 12 degrees new coil, cap, rotor, wires, and Autolite plugs. No codes either. Step on the gas and it just sits there for a second and then takes off.

my 4.9 did that and it turned out to be the throttle body gasket was bad and sucking in

Have replaced all intake gaskets and the IAC also, So it's not that on mine. I will be swapping in a 5.8 for the 5.0 in a couple of weeks. Will see if anything changes since the 5.8 doesn't have that problem in the truck that it's in now.
Try taking the electric choke wire off and see if it's different. Could be too rich. Found that out with mine-and horrible mileage also, removed it and much improved.
