Has anybody ever used one of these tools? I saw it this past weekend on the powerblock and thought it was pretty cool. For me to get one it would have to be made in the US. Would there be any uses on our engine for this tool?
I look at that thing and I imagine trying to steady the fancy-schmancy tool while I put some meat to the driver for tightening. You have to hang on to the end where the socket meets the tool to get leverage, leaving the "bolt" end to fend for itself. It would be a dance of trying to figure out where to put each of your three arms. The pictures show it in scissor formation, which would give you more leverage... but that would put the driver handle back in the area you were trying to avoid by spending the 50 bucks.
If this is such a knuckle saver... where's the demo vid? I think it's a language development tool... for sailors.
i cant see this thing taking too much torque and its listed as light duty now if they made one that could take a air impact wrench with out braking i may be interested in it just due to weird tools come in handy for some odd jobs not just for autos
Back when I was a Snap on dealer, some of my aircraft tech had some of these or something real similar. He used his alot, but if you ever worked on aircraft you would need a couple of these and elbows that bend 180 degrees and rubber fingers, etc. Every aircraft I ever saw looked like it was designed by committee and none of the groups talked to each other when they assembled it.
My wife hasn't stopped me quoting Fletch for 19 years now. Lucky me, huh?!
My wife and I frequently quote lines that strike us a certain way. "No Country for Old Men" has an obscure line that we use, which others may not appreciate.
