Hey guys picked up a moon visor from my buddy and mounted it on the truck today. Looks good I painted it gray cause I'll paint the bumpers gray later. Tell me what you guys think, I'll hook the lights up soon, I was told by someone that ford put wires for lights in the A pillar ?. Is that true or what and here's some pics
I'm still trying to find one of those, they're hard to come by. Agree that it should be body color, it looks like it's a bare or primed piece that was just bolted on. Not having anything else grey/silver near it makes it stand out.
I'm jealous, I've been watching for one locally to show but no luck. I agree with painting it blue, the sliver does make it look primered or gel coated and unfinished. I've yet to see one that was a different color than the cab look as good as a color matched one.
I bought one over 10 years ago now off eBay for less than $100 shipped to my door. Intended to put it on my first truck which was to be an 82 Bronco my aunt gave me. Well my dad was fixing the bronco up and never got it running right so I got my moms old car a Toyota Avalon instead.... Worse part is I sold that headvisor a couple years later on craigslist for like $75 since the bronco still wasn't running and I wanted my $$$. Man I wish I would have never sold it now. I can't find one either and now I own two OBS fords it would fit on.
I've been looking for one cheap, I've got the same base color truck with silver and black grafix on the sides. The truck originally had a visor but the previous owner took it off and tossed it, so I have all the spots in place to mount one..
Yeah good luck. I only see them for 200+ on eBay and never see any local unless you buy the whole truck with it. Haven't looked in awhile. Settled for tint stripe at the top of my windshield. Actually works really well.
