Custom running boards

Anyone have any good pics of custom built running boards?? The ones on my 52 F1 are dust. I have an idea for a direction I'd like to take. I'm thinking about making my 52 kind of a clone of my 2000 HD F150. I think it would be cool to fab in a chrome step bar on the outside of the running boards, to look like the HD. Or build something from scratch. If I use a stock set, I think I could take some pipe and cut out a section lengthwise to fit over the running boards outer edge. Make it fit tight against the fenders, and have it chromed. Just a thought I had to write out just to read it myself. Lol. And to get 2300 posts. Lol

Since you didn't get a response on your question, you might try looking at my thread on diy running boards. These were built for an F100 but it will give you something to consider.
