Quick question!!

I am replacing a front wheel bearing and the axle shaft inside the tube moves. I just want to know if this is something i should be concerned about or if it should do this

That is normal. With the hubs locks removed the end of the axle shaft will move around in the spindle. That shaft rides in the center part of the hub locks.

That was my assumption. Just wanted to be sure....I would be mad if I put the whole thing together and found out that I had to take it back apart.

We just did wheel bearings, ball joints, spindle bearings and axle joints yesterday on Tyler's F350. The spindles are always a PIA to get off.

I decided to leave the spindles alone because judging by the rust on the bolts it would have required an air hammer to get them off

Ya when we tore mine apart to rebuild, it took heat, lots of pb blaster, and a hammer to get the spindals off.

Everyone ive talked to says they're spindles were a pain to get off, guess i was lucky because mine have never given me problems. But as for the original question, yes it will move.
