ok I finally just finished my disc brake upgrade on my 72 but i took it to a alignment shop and they couldn't get the alignment done. They were saying the outer tie rod needs to be a little shorter because they ran out of room when using the adjustment sleeve. the disc set up i have is off a 74 and the tie rods i purchased new were for a 74. does anyone have any ideas on this? please help i want to drive my truck but with the alignment off I can't yet. does anyone know of a different outer tie rod end that might be shorter and still fit our trucks?
Outer tie rod connects to left spindle, tie rod end connects to draglink that connects to right spindle. Adjusting sleeve between outer tie rod and tie rod end.
The problem is, you lowered the truck. Another thing to consider...did you buy the correct parts?
