Truck dies at every stop after battery change.

Hi everyone. Did a search for this issue because I could of swore I saw the answer at one time. Any way, just changed the battery in an 04 f150 with a 5.4. Every time the owner stops the truck dies, no check engine light or codes, so far. What is the computer reset procedure after a battery change. I know it is something like turn tires both ways for a certain amount of time, run AC, run defrost, etc. etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is it stalling because its idling really bad? I had a similar problem after disconnecting the battery to install a pie adapter, the truck would stall at stops because the idle was all messed up. So I cleaned the mass airflow, sensor and the throttle body and it fixed the problem instantly. I also have an oil filled knn air filter which can dirty up the mass airflow sensor. The truck was not able to compensate for the dirtiness and therefore couldn't idle properly.

By disconnecting the battery to replace it you reset the computer. It will take a few drive cycles for the computer to re-learn the settings for your engine.

If it doesn't improve after a while I would do the cleanings that Nalb1221 mentioned.
