i need to decode my vin on the '66 ford f-100 i purchased in georgia this past summer, everywhere i've tried it keeps coming up invalid number, it appears to have been an automatic at one time, it is now a 352 cu in, stick shift on the floor, the vin is F10AC891614....SOMEONE, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! i'm not too sure if i'm doing this right on here, my email is urbandale50@aol.com, any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance
The truck rating plate located on the drivers door will give you a ton of information. If you post a photo of it I'm sure someone will decipher it for you.
F10 = series = F100 4 X 2
A = engine - 240cid-1V-I6
C = assembly plant = Ontario Truck Plant (not sure if this is Canada or California, but sure many on on here know)
891614 = numerical sequence of assembly = model year 1966
If I have made any mistakes NumberDummy will correct if he views the thread.
Other info so as trans, diff, color, etc. are contained in other fields of tag located on the drivers side door face.
