There comes a time when we all have to do it!!!

It is, but, do have a loan for the wife's 08 Town and Country.
Everything else besides the house is paid off. But I've never owned a brand new vehicle, and before this Excursion, the newest vehicle I ever owned was my old 94 F150. Bought that for $1000, rebuilt everything, lift and tires and sold it for a good profit.

As for the expensive parts......THEY ALWAYS DO!!!!
Bought mine new and it's been paid for since August 2006. It took about two years, but some expensive parts found out I had some extra cash, lol!
The work to replace them isn't all that bad, just remember to put away what you've been paying into your savings. This way when something does break, you more than have the means to fix it.

Congrats. I bought a 2006 K3500 Chevy brand new, worked like hell to get it paid off after three years. It made me sick to see that much money parked in the driveway, didn't want the thing any more after that. I haven't taken a loan on a vehicle since and won't. Mortgages are a different story. I love me some rental property, 8 mortgages and counting. Paid cash for two though. Thing is that we couldn't have done any of this if we hadn't gotten rid of our debt first. My first Ex was my "Dave Ramsey" car. I just sold it and got an '03 with 60k miles on it. Paid cash for it too.
It's funny how your decisions are different when you pay cash for stuff rather than charge it.
